We offer an MOT check at our accredited Basingstoke MOT centre which covers Basingstoke and the surrounding areas. For your convenience, we can provide a collection service from the Basingstoke area; picking up from your home or work place. We will remain with the vehicle until the MOT is complete and then return the car to you upon successful completion of the MOT. Should your vehicle fail on any aspect of the test, we will be more than happy to work with you to rectify the faults.
Some of the tests in an MOT are basic; but often things that people forget to do – like ensuring the screen wash level is acceptable and the tyre pressures are correct. General day-to-day maintenance of your car will assist towards gaining that all-important MOT pass.

An MOT is a test required by the Ministry of Transport for any vehicle over 3 years of age. The MOT car check consists of a number of tests designed to assess a vehicle’s safety, emissions and general roadworthiness. Unlike servicing, an MOT is a legal requirement and if you are found in possession of a vehicle without a valid MOT, then you can face hefty fines.
We can offer an MOT check for just £47 at our Basingstoke MOT Centre.

The first MOT is due when your vehicle reaches 3 years of age and then every year thereafter. If you are unsure when your MOT is due, then you can check this on the www.gov.uk website.

If your vehicle fails its MOT, you are able to drive the car away as long as none of the failure points are classed as dangerous and with the understanding that failure points will be fixed. However if you are found to be driving a failed MOT tested vehicle, with no effort to get issues resolved, then you could be fined up to £2,500, receive penalty points and even be banned from driving. Should your vehicle fail on any aspect of the test, we will be more than happy to work with you to rectify the faults.
